Today, we sit down with Meriem, our sales persona at Lepaon, to learn more about their journey, inspirations, and what makes working at Lepaon so special.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Lepaon Chocolatier?

A: Of course! I’m originally from Tunisia and moved to the U.S. 10 years ago. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for food and culture, which naturally led me to Lepaon Chocolatier. I love sharing our handcrafted chocolates with people, and one of my favorite parts of my job is selling them at the farmers' market. Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, cooking, and paddleboarding—activities that keep me balanced and inspired.

Q: What inspired you to work in the chocolate industry?

A: I’ve always been passionate about food and artistry, and chocolate is the perfect blend of both. The way chocolate can evoke emotions and memories is fascinating to me, and I wanted to be part of that experience.

Q: Lepaon is known for using high-quality ingredients. What’s your favorite ingredient to work with?

A: I love working with orange piel. The quality and depth of flavor they bring to our chocolates make each bite truly special.

Q: Do you have a favorite product from the Lepaon collection?

A: That’s a tough one because there are so many incredible flavors, but I have to say the white chocolate-covered strawberry is my absolute favorite. The combination of creamy, smooth white chocolate with the tangy crunch of the freeze-dried strawberry is just perfect. That said, the dark chocolate-covered pistachios are also amazing—the slight saltiness of the pistachio with the rich dark chocolate makes for an unforgettable bite!

Q: Lepaon recently shared perfect pairings for its chocolates. Do you have a personal favorite pairing?

A: I really enjoy the Dark Chocolate Covered Roasted Hazelnut with a strong espresso. The nutty, slightly bitter notes complement the deep flavors of espresso beautifully.

Q: What makes Lepaon stand out from other chocolatiers?

A: It’s the dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. Every chocolate we make tells a story, whether it’s through a unique flavor combination or the meticulous process we follow to ensure perfection.

Q: What’s next for Lepaon Chocolatier? Any exciting projects or new products on the horizon?

A: We’re always experimenting with new flavors and textures! Without revealing too much, let’s just say there are some exciting seasonal treats in the works that will surprise and delight our customers.
